This page is reserved for sharing what has been inspiring {me} lately. The most recent CDs {books} I bought, the old ones we're still playing, the new artists we're excited about...like this Hayes Carll guy. NPR is great for turning you on to new music but I RARELY run out and buy the record (or in this case, run to my computer and download it on itunes). You gotta know that for me its about the lyric first, music second. A tasty pedal steel is a plus ... can't seem to get enough twang these days.
There is so much freekin' great music out there by folks who will probably never achieve 'mainstream' recognition - but as long as the internet has made it so accessible we can all find our own little 'best kept secrets' out there and help spread the word.
blah, blah, blah...

Aimee Mann | %$@*& Smilers
